Internship Opportunities:

Theatre Management Intern: Next Theatre is seeking qualified interns for the winter/spring to handle our Administrative and Development needs.  

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Maintaining accurate records within the database.
  • Assisting in fundraising efforts such as annual mailings, donor and subscriber events, and our annual gala.
  • Working in Front of House when needed, including opening nights and other hosted events.
  • Providing assistance to Audience Services Manager in ticket sales and subscription enrollment.
  • Assisting the Managing and Artistic Directors as needed.

 

Skills required:

  • Profficiency in Microsoft Office or equivalent software.
  • Knowledge of database software a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills a must.

 

Audience Development/Social Media Intern: Next Theatre is seeking a qualified intern for the winter/spring to help manage our social media and digital marketing, as well as target new audiences.  

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Researching and contacting local business and organizations for community partners and group sales.
  • Working with our Audience Services Manager to create a social media plan for each production.
  • Updating social media accounts accordingly.
  • Publishing articles on the company’s blog
  • Working as liaison between cast, crew, and staff in order to create material for the website, lobby display, and show programs, aside from social media platforms.

 

Skills required:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office or equivalent software
  • Understanding of digital media and excellent communication skills a plus.

 

Videography Intern: Next Theatre is seeking a Videography intern for its spring events.  

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Coordinating with the Production Director and Artistic Director to create a schedule to shoot footage for each production for archival purposes. 
  • Shooting additional footage for b-roll and marketing purposes, including but not limited to a season trailer and other uses through YouTube

 

Skills Required:

  • Experience with Final Cut or iMovie a plus
