Production Assistants/Interns

Next Theatre Company is looking for per-show Production Interns/Assistants for our 2009-2010 season. The PA works with the Production Management and Stage Management departments fulfilling a multitude of duties in the pre-production, rehearsal, tech, performance and strike periods. Duties will include supporting the production process by documenting and distributing notes for production meetings, data entry of production receipts, assisting production management in scheduling and running of production meetings and technical rehearsals, maintaining production website, and being available to run errands in support of all technical departments during load-in, tech and strike, and other duties as assigned. Students currently enrolled in a local university or college are encouraged to apply. Please submit your cover letter and resume to the email, mailing address or fax number listed. Internship – Part-time theater management intern: Fall/Winter 2009

Next Theatre Company seeks a part-time Intern with excellent communication, organizational, and computer skills for the summer. Individuals interested in theatre management or with a background in performing arts that want to gain access to and information about the day-to-day workings of a theatre company are encouraged to apply. This intern will have primary duties assisting the Audience Services and Marketing Managers, as well as some artistic managment duties. Hours will be flexible with expectations of 10-15 hours a week. This is an unpaid position. Projects will include database management, managing marketing archives, assisting with data entry and direct mail and promotional initiatives and other assignments based on skills and interest.
