What's Next Lab marks the reappearance of an old friend. In 1990 Dexter Bullard began "At The Next Lab" as an opportunity for Next Theatre to present plays in a laboratory style setting that were thought to be too daring to produce.

Quita Mitos >> By Tanya Saracho Directed by Ricardo Gutierrez March 10-20, 2011 Performances: March 11 at 8:00 p.m., March 12 at 4:00 p.m.& March 16 at 7:30 p.m. Description: An intimate portrait of three very different Mexican women who find themselves culturally and geographically adrift, each in a cheap motel room.

Start Fair in the Common Race >> By Aaron Carter Directed by Brant Russell March 10-20, 2011 Performances: March 12 at 8:00 p.m., March 13 at 2:00 p.m. & March 17 at 7:30 p.m. Performances: As a wounded nation attempts to heal itself immediately following the Civil War, former slaves Tiberius and Marcus steal, con, and philosophize their way across America in the name of freedom in their strange new world.

In Loco Parentis >> By Sarah Gubbins Directed by Joanie Schultz March 10-20, 2011 Performances: March 15 at 7:30 p.m., March 19 at 8:00 p.m. and March 20 at 2:00 p.m. Description: College friends in a small town deal with the sudden loss of a friend from an accidental drug overdose. Things get tough when certain friends start questioning whether it was an accident after all.

As Fat As You Can >> By Justin D.M. Palmer Directed by Krissy Vanderwarker March 10-20, 2011 Performances: March 10 at 7:30 p.m., March 18 at 8:00 p.m. & March 19 at 4:00 p.m. Description: When George loses his job to outsourcing and is forced to feed himself on a budget, he gains weight at an alarming rate. What will he do when his new girlfriend Martha learns that it's no accident he's getting so fat?
